E-M-B-A-R-R-A-S-S-E-D.

That's how Akeelah feels when she wins her school spelling bee. She has a rough home life and doesn't feel like she belongs with the more privileged children who usually participate in the spelling bees. Can she overcome her own insecurities and provide her community with someone to rally around?

Come find out!

*Akeelah and the Bee is rated PG for mild language. Please pre-screen if you feel uncomfortable!*

Bring a water bottle and your favorite movie snack (nothing messy, please!) and enjoy a free movie night. 

Parents are required to stay in the library during the program but do not have to stay in the room (unless they want to!)
