Program Description

Event Details

Owls, owls, owls! Wild at Heart Rescue Wildlife Rehabilitators will be bringing live owls to Lander for Earth Day! Children will see a short presentation  about these intriguing nocturnal animals, that they wouldn't normally get to interact with. Admission is free but registration is required due to limited space.

Wild at Heart is an all-volunteer, non-profit, tax-exempt organization in Piedmont dedicated to caring for orphaned and/or injured native wildlife in the Upstate of South Carolina. The organization has two main goals: to treat, rehabilitate and return all animals to their natural habitat whenever possible and to educate the general public in becoming more aware, concerned and understanding of our wildlife resources. We will be bringing the following three birds: a Barred Owl, a Barn Owl and a Great Horned Owl.

Don't miss this opportunity!
