CHALLENGE: Build an underwater world in 1-hour!

Patrons 12 and up are invited to construct their creations using LEGO sets and timers provided by the library.

Legos will be available for:

Children (Ages 6-11) in the Children's Department

Teens (Ages 12-18) in the Gambrell Teen Room

Adults (18+) in the ECC Makerspace during Open Create hours (Tuesday-Thursday 1pm - 7:30pm & Saturdays 9:30am - 5:30pm).

Builders who complete the challenge at the Library within one-hour will receive a certificate, have their pictures taken (so we can brag about your awesome skills on socials), and be entered into a drawing for a chance to win the monthly prize.

*Pssst* Feel free to map out your plans/ideas on paper beforehand.

Want to participate from home? Tag us on socials and use the hashtags #UMBC and #andersoncountylibrary to show off your build! New challenges will be posted on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.

The library makes every effort to ensure our programs can be enjoyed by all. Please contact the library if you have any concerns about accessibility or need to inquire about specific accommodations.

Pictures may be taken during this program for the library’s publicity purposes in the library’s print, digital, or social media outlets. If you would prefer you or your family member’s picture to not be taken, please speak with library staff at the beginning of the program.
