Program Description

Event Details

Citizen science brings everyone into the important work of learning more about and protecting our planet. Anyone can do it!

Join Anderson County Soil and Water Conservation District's Education and Outreach Coordinator, Anaston Porter, to learn about how to become a backyard conservationist and citizen scientist!

During this program, we will go over different ways you can help contribute to locally-led conservation through grassroots programs such as SC Adopt-a-Stream, Community Collaborative Rain Hail and Snow Network (CoCoRaHS), and iNaturalist. You will learn how to become certified in each, as well as share information and contacts.
